IKI sweet soy sauce

It is the perfect accompaniment to izakaya dishes such as sashimi and stews, marinades and sauces. Iki" sweet soy sauce is a high-quality sauce.

It is made from whole soybeans grown in Fukuoka (Kyushu) and double-fermented. The long, tedious and complex process means that this soy sauce is made only from raw, unheated soy sauce, to preserve its natural flavours.

Mixture is sweetened with sugar syrup and molasses. Our artisan selects only the finest raw materials from specific regions of Japan and renowned farms (wheat and soy from Fukuoka, salt from Nagasaki...). This sauce has a strong natural flavor that brings out the full flavor of raw fish and seafood.

Thick, with a fine balance of sugar and salt, a nice acidity, good length and light cocoa accents, this sauce is ideal for sashimi, oily fish, yaki onigiri, eggs, red meats (beef, duck), sautéed noodles, boiled vegetables and simmered dishes (giving them a richer flavor).
